Responsibilities

Siegel is a small business with ongoing Department of State work. We are a non-possessing facility with a SECRET facility clearance, which allows our staff who travel to Post to work unescorted, and we recently completed our DCSA assessment with a “Commendable” rating. You will succeed our retiring FSO and take ownership of the firm’s security program.  Responsibilities include:

  • Serve as Facility Security Officer (FSO) and maintain full compliance with the National Industrial Security Program (NISP) and other relevant government standards.

  • Sustain our Facility Clearance (FCL) and ensure all facility-level security requirements are met on an ongoing basis.

  • Manage personnel clearances (PCL) for staff and consultants in DISS and NISS, ensuring timely application, sponsorship, and maintenance of individual credentials.

  • Lead DCSA assessments and run regular self-inspections to maintain “Satisfactory” or “Commendable” ratings.

  • Design, implement, and serve as the Insider Threat Program Senior Official (ITPSO).

  • Deliver required security training with full staff participation and maintain accurate training records.

  • Process VAR, ECC, DD254, and other required documentation as required.

  • Proactively monitor government contract security requirements and deliverables; track compliance metrics and identify risks early.

  • Administer E-Verify and maintain administrative systems for security documentation and records retention.

Qualifications

Successful candidates will possess:

  • Proven experience as an FSO or Assistant FSO for a cleared contractor under the NISP, with a track record of successful DCSA formal assessments.

  • Proficiency in the Defense Information System for Security (DISS) and the National Industrial Security System (NISS).

  • Qualification to serve as ITPSO; completion of DCSA/CDSE FSO Program Management and Insider Threat training preferred.

  • An active SECRET personnel clearance, or eligibility to obtain one.

  • Meticulous attention to detail, discretion, and strong organizational and written communication skills.

  • The ability to work independently, guide colleagues through the clearance process, and coordinate with government agencies.

  • United States citizenship, as required for FSO appointment under the NISPOM.

  • Experience with Dropbox, Word, Excel, and other computer programs.

  • Experience with architecture and/or engineering firms is preferred.
