Siegel, formerly Robert Siegel Architects, improves the built world one building at a time. From our studios in New York City and Katonah, New York, we design higher-education, civic, cultural, commercial, residential, and public-sector projects throughout the United States and abroad.

Responsibilities

You will collaborate with experienced architects and designers on projects ranging from $500,000 to more than $50 million in construction value. Responsibilities include:

  • Contribute to new construction and renovation projects across higher education, public, cultural, commercial, and luxury residential markets.

  • Explore and develop architectural concepts through research, sketching, diagrams, and physical and digital models.

  • Produce clear, accurate drawings, models, visualizations, and presentation materials in two and three dimensions.

  • Translate design concepts into coordinated Revit documents and carefully resolved architectural details.

  • Collaborate with project teams and consultants throughout all phases of design and project delivery.

  • Participate in design reviews, technical coordination, materials research, and site visits.

  • Take increasing ownership of project responsibilities while learning from experienced architects and helping elevate the quality of the firm's work.

Qualifications

Successful candidates will possess:

  • Intellectual curiosity, initiative, and a commitment to design excellence.

  • The ability to work independently and thrive in a highly collaborative studio environment.

  • Exceptional graphic, verbal, and written communication skills.

  • Demonstrated strength in design thinking, visualization, architectural detailing, and technical problem solving.

  • Three to six years of professional architectural experience in the United States.

  • Advanced proficiency in Rhino and Revit, supported by strong skills in Adobe Creative Suite and architectural visualization.

  • Experience with construction documentation, building assemblies, materials, and consultant coordination.

  • Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch.) and/or Master of Architecture (M.Arch.) from an accredited school of architecture in the United States. Architectural licensure is not required.

  • Legal authorization to work in the United States.

  • Portfolio: Submit academic or professional work that demonstrates your design and technical abilities, including architectural detailing and Revit construction documentation, with particular emphasis on building envelopes and carefully crafted interior and exterior details.

    • Include only drawings, models, renderings, details, diagrams, and other materials personally created by you.

    • For each project, identify your role; the parts of work shown that you personally produced; and the software or methods you used.

    • Do not include drawings or text created by colleagues, consultants, visualization studios, photographers, or marketing departments.

    • Accurate attribution is essential. We want to understand how you think, design, communicate, and resolve architectural problems. Portfolios that do not clearly distinguish your work from the work of others may not be considered.
